Let's Celebrate You!

...When did you last pause, and recognise all that you've achieved?

And I’m not talking about the big stuff… new jobs, promotions, Olympic medals, buying a house etc. (Though of course that should be celebrated too). I’m talking about the silent work that nobody sees, the quiet, patient work that happens under the surface.

I know you’re continuously working on yourself, you’re self-aware, maybe you spend time on your yoga mat, you’ve read the books, you’ve perhaps worked with some kind of therapy (talking or otherwise), and overall you are invested in your personal growth. And therefore, I know that day after day you are trying, learning, growing in ways that nobody else sees.

But when was the last time you paused and recognised the work you’ve done, how far you’ve come, and what you’ve quietly achieved.

  • Maybe you set a boundary and taught yourself it was safe to honour your needs.

  • Maybe you’ve shifted your relationship with your inner critic and created a little more calm for yourself.

  • Maybe you voiced your wants or needs and taught yourself that the response is likely to be positive, and not the reaction you’ve been bracing yourself for.

  • Maybe you’ve taught yourself that you’re safe to let go of the what ifs of the future and to enjoy being in the present a little more.

  • Maybe you’ve taught yourself that you are in fact good enough, more than good enough.

  • Maybe you taught yourself to embrace rest, and learnt that it’s safe to pause for a moment.

This is the hard, often unseen work that makes a huge impact to the calm we can access, to our self-belief and confidence, and to allowing ourselves a little more space to just be.

Please take some time to recognise what you’ve achieved. I'm proud of you. I hope you're proud of you too.
